Top 10 Best Questions to Ask on Your First Date

I have been coaching people for 20 years on how to date effectively, based on Handel Group™’s awesome methodology.

I've taught countless clients how to maximize the utility, intimacy, and fun of the first 3 dates, with great questions.

The true number of great questions is unlimited--but these should give you an idea of what we’re going for:

-Something your date doesn’t hear everyday!
You’re making the dates fun, interesting and engaging with good questions.

-Something that inspires truth-telling and intimacy!
People want to be themselves and be known, this helps them!

-Something that gives you a real sense of who someone is and vice versa.
What’s the point of dating if you aren’t efficiently getting to know someone to see if they’re a match?

Here are my top 10 faves:

  1. Who’s your best friend and why?

  2. If your best friend could describe you in 3 adjectives what would they be?

  3. What’s an ideal Sunday for you?

  4. What do you love about where you grew up? What do you wish was different?

  5. What’s your favorite trait in your mom? Least favorite? How about Dad or whomever raised you?

  6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?

  7. What do your friends come to you for? What would they never come to you for?

  8. How do you spend most weekdays? What do you love/dislike about it?

  9. What were the fatal flaws in your last relationships?

  10. What are you looking for when it comes to love?

BONUS: Would you like to meet up again? When?

Oh, hot tip!  Once you make your list of fun questions, be ready to answer them too. Now you can look forward to dates because you know what to talk about and how to make questions interesting. If you have a question you love to ask, that I didn’t think of, please post it in the comments!
